REVIEW: True by Erin McCarthy

True by Erin McCarthy

Plot:

When Rory Macintosh's roommates find out that their studious and shy friend has never been with a guy, they decide that, as an act of kindness they'll help her lose her virginity by hiring confident, tattooed bad boy Tyler Mann to do the job ... unbeknownst to Rory.
Tyler knows he's not good enough for Rory. She's smart, doctor smart, while he's barely scraping by at his EMT program, hoping to pull his younger brothers out of the hell their druggy mother had left them in. But he can't resist taking up her roommates on an opportunity to get to know her better. There's something about her honesty that keeps him coming back when he knows he shouldn't.
Torn between common sense and desire, the two find themselves caught up in a passionate relationship. But when Tyler's broken family threatens to destroy his future, and hers, Rory will need to decide whether to cut her ties to his risky world or follow her heart, no matter what the cost...

My Review:

This book was such an amazing read!! I completely fell in love with it!!

What I love about this book was that, it didn't go on lovey-dovey like some romance bad-boy good-girl books does. There was not a moment in the book that I became frustrated about or angry about, and that was a change because most books that I read has a least one part that I am either really mad about or just want to stop reading.

I devoured this book in two hours, sitting in front of my computer and reading on my kindle (of course, listening to some music too hehe). It was such a roller-coaster with not too many bumps. The characters in here were amazing. Rory, she's smart, she's the good-girl type that studies a lot because she wants to become a coroner. Normally, I don't really like girls who are too much of a good-girl, but Rory wasn't like that at all. She was just ... normal.

Now on to the Mann family. Tyler, of course, hot hot (sing) HOT!! And tattoos!!! ooh tattoos. Tyler is a bad-boy, he's smokes, which is so freaking cool, and he has tattoos. Even though he is a bad-boy and a player, he cares a lot for his family, even his drug addict mother. Tyler has three brothers, Riley; U (his real name is actually Jayden) and Easton. Age in order: 22, 25, 17 and 10. Together, their name spells "T.R.U.E". I love them all!! Tyler is kind and caring, Riley is an ass-hole with girls, but that's what sealed the deal with the Mann boys. U is very funny at times, and he doesn't act like a 17-year-old at all, he acts like a little kid. And lastly, Easton. Easton is only 10, and while the other three boys has tattoos on their arm that says "TRUE Family", he doesn't (because he's underage). He is very quiet, but he is very kind, like all of his brothers.

This story went through the disaster or Rory and Tyler's love clashing with their family expectance. While Rory's family is rich, Tyler has to care for his brothers while his mother continue being a drug addict. Now, what I love about Rory is that she stands up to herself. She even stood up to her father (SPOILER) when he didn't want her to be with Tyler. So that was real brave of her.

I always love a good love story, and this was one of the best. For those who have this book in their TBR list, better buy it now because I'm telling you, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!
I received this book on NetGalley.
